I graduated in 4 years, but my major was also journalism so we'll call that a toss up.  

Honestly though, I feel I got not only a top notch education, but got to study in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.  I liked it so much, I moved back after a few years away after graduating.  Can't say I have any intentions of leaving either.  I guess to each his own, but this is where I believe I will make my mark in this world.  

One thing I will definitely agree with is the lack of diversity.  Not just Cal Poly, but SLO County as a whole could use some darker skinneded people lol.  If any Asian or Latina ladies want to increase the minority numbers of this town, holla at your boy!

Ha ha, what can you actually say about your high school?  High school is like a Tale of Two Cities, at least for most of us.  I honestly cannot complain at all about my school.  There were lockers and books and chairs for everyone, and that's always good.  

The people were pretty cool, too.  I speak to maybe one or two of them still, and that is more than plenty, but other than a couple of jackasses and more than a handful of less than virtuous women, I think our student body was a lot more tolerant and progressive than the mass majority of classes in any area I've seen since then.

So, being the first to throw up the "P", I salute you Mariners.  I don't think I'll be attending any reunions, so send me some props Yelp style and we'll call it a day.

A little hole in the wall that got my whole group of friends and I through high school and many, many hangovers.

For over a year we had the cheeseburger special, which was only .99 after 3 p.m., and ignored every other menu item.  These burgers are perfectly grilled and topped with the freshest tomatoes and lettuce.  Fantastic is being modest.

Then one morning after a long night of drinking, we walked over and discovered the other dozens of well prepared delights they had behind that counter.  From gyros and steak and eggs to breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros, these people cook it up to par for around $5-9.  Best of all, they are family run and always remember your face after about your second visit.  

It's often packed at lunch time, so come early or come for an early dinner and catch the specials.  Location is about the only other thing I can say bad about it.  It's between an Albertson's and a 1 hour photo place.  

If you are ever in the area of Knott and Katella, I highly advise you to skip the Carl's Jr. and Del Taco right across the street and catch a real treat from some genuinely nice people.
